José Campos is Director of Planning and Development at Robin Chiang & Company, a San Francisco architecture and planning firm with emphasis on the design of transportation facilities and transit-oriented development.
José was Director of Citywide Planning at the San Francisco Planning Department and Planning Division Manager at the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency.
He started his career as a planner at the San Diego Planning Department and then as project manager at the San Diego Redevelopment Agency.
He oversaw the planning and adoption of several large-scale urban regeneration and transit-oriented development plans, mostly in San Francisco. José was Secretary General of the Association of Mediterranean Cruise Ports from 2006 to 2011, representing 101 ports throughout Southern Europe, Eastern Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
José speaks several languages, has a BA in Urban Studies and Planning from the University of California at San Diego, and was awarded, as a National Urban Fellow, a Master’s in Public Administration at Baruch College, City University of New York.”
